it it safe to buy a fridge

with  all the damage of the crispers ....that.. i have been  reading about....is  it safe to do this  ?

I had an old fridge that worked perfectly until the door fell off, actually the fridge still worked fine, you just had to be careful opening the door.  Oh ! forgot  1 of the door compartments broke when it fell off, but the crisper was still fine.

I have been here for 15 years, and when I moved in there was an old washing machine... It is still working, although the centrifuge sometimes plays up, which is not so good when it is very humid because things then don't get dry - but otherwise... it is still working fine.

Just to answer the OP - yep - it's still safe to buy a fridge.
