Has anyone else had issues with this seller? I purchased a Jack LaLanne Power Juicer and it doesn't work. As it was a gift I did not find this out for 6 weeks after purchasing. <seller removed> refuses to refund or send replacement. The actual Juicer is suspicious. It comes without any warrantly information or anything at all which identifies the company, their contact details or anything except "Made in China". The box states it includes bonus blade and recipe book which were not present. The printing on the accompanying instruction booklets are really poor quality and I suspect I have been scammed. Unfortunately i gave positive feedback based on price and delivery speed. Has anyone else had issues either with <seller removed> and/or the Power juicer?

Sorry, no experience with either the seller or the product but did you read the feedback before purchasing? I would not have even taken the chance, much less not have looked at the product before 6 weeks.

Yes, I agree about the importance of checking feedback. This seller had 96% feedback score - I note it is now lower than that. Do others think dealing with a seller with a 96% feedback score risky?

In general, any seller with reasonable sales volumes who can't maintain at least 98% (which is an eBay criterion for powerseller) should be avoided.
Can I assume you were blinded by the $$ savings over buying from a B&M?

without being able to see the seller's feedback - I'm going to say ooooooohhhhhh YEAH!
if they are a low volume seller and have had only one negative for something unreasonable then the 96% rating isn't so worrisome, but if they are high volume and seem to have a lot of negatives for similar issues, well thennnnnn

I am disappointed the sellers name has been removed from my previous post and yet the product name remains on view - seems a contradiction! According to communication I have had with Eba,y the seller has breached some policies and Ebay have taken action - but all confidential. The actual juicer, according to my research comes with a 60 day warranty - not present with the suspect fake juicer I received. I think it is a shame that ebay members cannot be warned about dodgy sellers despite ebay confirming they have taken action. I note the seller no longer sells these dodgy juicers. I know we can give neg feedback but I wonder if that is enough. It has not helped me get a refund. I am currently waiting on a response from ACCC. So frustrating the seller wont communicate (with me or ebay apparently) and yet they can continue to trade seemingly unaffected by this.

you are not allowed to name and shame other members, its a wonder they didnt slap you on the wrist

Quite frankly, if a seller has less than 99%, I look elsewhere. I do take time to read the negs to see WHY they have received so many.

Yes, fair point. Guess I'm lucky my wrists remain unslapped! The point I was making is that I find it a condradiction that the brand name of the product I purchased was allowed to remain on my post but the seller identity quickly removed. I wonder if this is because Ebay makes money from the seller, not necessarily the product - therefore seller protected but not the brand. Anyway I have learn't from this bad transaction and will be more savvy in the future. Consumer Affairs is taking up my case so I still hold out some small (very small) hope I will get a refund.

Nah, I would say it has something to do with the potential for a defamation claim....
