Sometimes people just talk for the sake of talking without providing any wisdom or solutions (just a tounge in the cheek reply)

Thank you for your advise

Sometimes people ask questions without providing any relevant information in order to allow others to provide solutions. Despite repeated requests to do so.
I am not the one who thinks they got ripped off. I am, however, one who could possibly provide a solution if I had adequate relevant information.
I'm leaning more to the price plus repairs scenario.
In the absence of information.

It seems that people lose the essence of the conversation & the point of it all in an effort to make a point which has no relevence to the issues involved. This is my 1st time on any site where there is a point of view from someone else to an issue & it is quite an eye opener!! Some people seem to simply want an arguement while others are more focused & would like to provide a logical solution, while others lose the logic aspect.& seem to be arguing a totally different issue than the one I have raised,Maybe I should go out more often!
Can we guess, or will you own up?
I have asked you several times for information as to the value of the vehicle. You have chosen to ignore me. If you don't know what it's worth and don't know how to find out, post the model, year and engine size (eg 2013 63AMGSLK) and we can tell you if you have a chance of recouping your money (or got a bargain).
This information, as Crikey said, is the sort of information a court will look at. Given your reluctance to provide it, I am reluctant to take your complaint at face value.
Dave, I kinda don't understand what you're after here, ya have to learn to talk girl talk, ok? we dont get the car talk
so, what do we need for you to check on redbook for us?
Mercedes
Year
Model
Engine? (does that mean 4cylinder, 6 cylinder? Is that what you mean?
I got no idea what all those numbers are after the 2013 (I take it that's your example for year.)
so put it in girly talk and if its technical tell us where to find the info, LOLOLOL (ie is it on the rego papers or do we haf ta pop da hood and take a peek kinda thing.....
pretend it's me you're talking to ok? cos then you'll know that anything after what colour is the car, I'll have NFI LOLOLOL

Sorry Davewill, but this is all getting beyond my capacity to answer .All my answers are all over the place & I dont know who I have answered or what as this is my first time doing this & it is becoming a bit of a nightmare as so many people have responded & so many people seem to have different motives in their replies. My last answer to anyone tonight is you as I need to get off here.Value: It was a DOG!! Possibly $4000 for wrecking.Up to date repairs required :at least $8000 Paid near $10,000 No matter what, a dog looks like a dog & even with repairs it would be far more than the blue book value & difficult to sell as it is an import.Hope this answered what you wanted to know.So Goodnight Dave,I'm going to bed.Goodnight everyone else as well.Tomorrow I may be up to it to continue!

So you have no idea as the whether it was a C Class? An S Class? An A? A B? An E? A CLS? An SLK?
The engine could be 160, 180, 200, 250, 320, 350, 450, 500, 550, 63.
All of these are generally written on the boot - C180, E250, SLK63AMG, B160. The year of manufacture is relevant.
All I'm getting is that your paid somebody $10k for a Mercedes. You may or may not have been ripped off. For about the sixth time, I'm asking you to provide some numbers.
It's like I bought a Holden. An Astra? An SS Commodore? An R8 Clubsport? A Walkinshaw fettled GTS with 450kw?
Lot's of parameters,. I reiterate, your lack of willingness to provide pertinent information counts against you. Especially when you're stuck with the thing anyway.

ok Dave, that was a really great explanation, cos now i understand what you need, however, the person we are trying to help has gone to bed after I just sat here for 5 hours and did heaps of research to try and help, waiting for some answers, so I knew how to proceed.
I've got 27 tabs opened across 3 screens, ready with the information, I have law books opened everywhere and cases and word documents etc, and I even rang eBay on the buyers behalf for help to find some of the stuff, and then they just go to bed????
So, hope you've got good news if you ever get an answer, cos I'm kinda done here now.

I'm back, but only just! I had absolutally no idea that joining a forum could be so intense & long.As one can easily see with my answers all over the wrong places with some answered & some missed,in the end I didn't what was what & I was in a terrible state & could not continue.Over the past 18 months I have been in & out of hospital with heart problems & high blood pressure. They wanted to do a by pass operation but at my age I said no & settled for the pills & regular check-ups.Last night doing what I,m doing now was stressfull for me & added to the stress over the past few months with this car & possible legal battles with ÏVAN THE TERRIBLE"(anyone old enough to remember him in their school history lessons) this episode in front of the screen try ing to answer everybody as best I could had a dramatic effect on me.I developed in quick time an intense headache,my vision became blurred & I had pins & needles down my right leg & began to sweat.I knew I was in big trouble! I intended calling an ambulance but decided to wait & see after taking my pills if there was any improvement as I hate hospitals.I don't remember if I improved or not because I must have passed out & when I saw the sunshine through my window this morning it was a blessed sight!! Now it's back to the doctors who will advise no more stress or the next one may well be your last.So I will not be killing myself over a car.As a pensioner I have little money to spare, this episode in my life has nearly cost me my life savings so far & probably will in the end! This car was to be my "last hurrah"Instead it could be the death of me & we don't want to give Ivan the last laugh!! So thank you all for your kindness & terrific efforts to assist me but I am in no condition to continue. You are welcome to add what ever you want on the site, but for me it is goodbye & godbless! (If there is any goodoutcome I'll let you know)

**bleep**, what sort of car did you buy???
Does it actually have some metal letters that spell out Mercedes stuck on the outside, somewhere, anywhere?
If so are the any other metal letters stuck to the outside of the vehicle? If there are, would you please tell us what they are.
Maybe if you told us the colour we could work out what years that colour was available.
Does it have 4 doors and boot and bonnet?
Is it 4wd (as in off road driving, not does it have 4 wheels)?
I am starting to wonder if you actually bought a car because you don't seem to know what you bought.
(BTW if it is a C class you won't be able to fit 2 teenage boys over 6 foot tall in the back seat.
And if it is a C class and has a sunroof you can't have someone over 6 foot tall driving it because the sunroof protrudes to far into the head space of the driver.)
