Hi all,
Just wanting some feedback on something I came across and wasn't sure how to go about reporting something that looks dodgy.
I've found two separate listings for a camera. It appears to be the same exact camera. One of the pics is identical in both listings except zoomed in a bit in one). Description is exactly the same. The only thing is that the listings are using two separate seller IDs and one is a BIN/best offer and one is an auction.
These are the two listings:
and
I clicked to report listing on the BIN/Best offer one. When I selected the auction format, it now says "This listing is a duplicate of another fixed price (or Buy It Now) listing from the same seller." The problem is, the second listing is listed as an auction.
Is there any way to report this accurately? Or am I just wasting my time? I've never reported an auction before btw (in case that wasn't already obvious :P)

Ergo - there are probably other things you should concern yourself about.
If you want to get it (possibly) cheap, bid on the auction. If you want to get it, BIN. Simple. No need to worry about perceived violations, especially when there probably aren't.

So broncosfan182 is loungefly?
on 06-08-2014 03:27 AM
Just as i thought.
Broncosfan182 bought something from loungefly who are the same person.
I asked the question & he changed both fb to private 2min later.

Oh my, what a bit of a mess.
Check out loungefly71 completed listings ( bid history).
The user broncosfan182 has shill bid almost every auction.
Item number:141285275161
Item number:141329428479
Item number:141333739490
Item number:141354639056
How funny that loungefly come here wondering about a seller backing out of a sale. l'd be more miffed about the shill bidding if l were any of those buyers of the listings mentioned.
tut tut.

yes i wonder if he knows that he can't sell with private feedback but then again he's probably got another account.
So when you report an ended item for shill bidding does eBay still look into it?

I think that if reported, eBay will check out the user names to see if there is a link. They see things that we can't and if there are other user names held by the user, they will see them too.
Shill bidding is frowned upon so if ended item numbers are included in report, something may happen as the proof is there to see.
