reporting fraudulent products

Not sure if this is the right place, but if not please let me know - or if another thread is open with the answer please also let me know.

I have found a seller selling fake Anker products on eBay and the company has comfirmed these products are fake. He has requested I return the items, but the return shipping costs outweigh the refunds amount.

How can I report this seller to eBay? His account should be invetigated really for fraud and shut down. I also should get a refund - Paypal dispute has been created, but for the service it really is jumping through a lot of hoops to get your money back!

Any help would be great >

If you had opened a dispute via ebay for item not as described then the seller would have had to pay the return postage.

If the item is a fake and you can get a letter from that company to state this then you would not have to return it and you would have gotten a refund once submitting the proof to ebay

As you have now opened a dispute via paypal you can do a request to get the postage refunded.

You need to report the seller to ebay so they can investigate your claims.

To have the return postage refunded through a paypal dispute you should have opted into the scheme before opening the dispute.

If you did not do so then you should ring paypal and ask if they can do it for you.

As sparklz says, in this case an ebay dispute was the way to go.

That's a horrid scenario. I do feel for you. I have been down that road a number of times. Once I purchased an item which was advertised as a near mint 70's Hi-Fi booklet on quadraphonic stereos from a well-known seller in the US. Item was nothing more than some pages pulled out of a magazine and well read with dozens of finger nail marks on the pages. The seller refused to refund the postage to me as well as the cost to send it back. What a joke!  And the seller tried a cunning way to get me to pay more money by butting in a payment request.  I realised I had falen into a trap with a dishonest seller. The seller RRRRRRRRR deals in records and memorabilia etc. He she is a high volume seller with a rating of  more than 39340 just doesn't seem to worry. Some sellers don't set out to rip off a buyer. But when they stuff up, they couln't give a stuff because they are making a lot of money.

If you return the item, you need to get a refund for postage both ways, plus the purchase of your item. I hope you get satisfaction here.

Call Paypal and make them aware that the return postage costs are higher than the refund. They

should give you a courtesy or discretionary refund.

Think about reporting the fake items to ebay after you get your refund.
