search difficulty

ok, so every day i do the same search.

type in 'tamiya' hit search.

i get a result of aprox 50,000 with it selecting 'radio control' catagory. default in the left colum

then under default i select 'worldwide' and i get 105,000 results.

then i change 'radio control to 'all catagories'

i get 220,000 results.

until today,

now nothing i do gets me the 220,000

i'm getting the 105,000 cant get the 220,000 anymore.

There have been others on the boards and in the answer centre saying they are having problems with search refinements today.

Looks like there is an eBay glitch.

found a work around the problem,

use 'advanced' search,

run down the list and select my prefered searches, hit search,

still get 105,000

but

can now change from 'radio control' to 'all catagories' to get the 220,00

I wouldn't be looking through 50,000 listings, much less 220,000.

You have a lot more time than I have, obviously. I would have either bought one or stopped looking every day.

Unless, of course, he just looks through the New Listings, but wants to make sure he's seeing all of them.

I agree.  I check newly listed every 2 hours looking for that elusive bargain.

And I make sure I see them all.

i dont look through 50,000 or 220,000

as i look a only new listings that on a daily basis for tamiya worldwide averages about 1500 new items.

takes me about 30 minutes to scroll throug looking for anything that tickles my fancy (ooh eer)

but i do like to get all the new listings.

I put down my fancy some where some time ago and now I can't find it.
I do miss having it tickled

seems search has returned to normal now, off to see if anything 'tickles my fancy'
