what is economy shipping ..how do you ask for it ?

i have seen some sellers in america and europe offering economy shipping i have noticed it is a lot cheaper than standard postage..a friend she  had something sent by it ..it was way cheaper than global shipping....and even cheaper  than usps..and it arrived quickly..i noticed a cassette deck was about 30 dollars au postage from europe...

how can we get it  ?

Yeah mine are mainly from the US and with postal costs having risen in th last few years, economy shipping is a welcome thing.

I would possibly not use economy for an ultra  rare item though. I'd go USPS First Class with that.

I just saw an LP in Canada being offered with economy for CA $4.40 to Australia which is not much more in Aust doilars. That's a great shipping price!  I'm guessing a 3 - 3.5 week time to receipt of article.

Yes, great price BUT it will probably get sent by surface mail, so expect 2-3 months delivery time.

Canadian postage time is notoriously slow at the best of times as well.

Not ebay mail but the last 3 parcels I have received from Canada (since mail slowed down due to coronavirus) have taken 6 weeks + up to a mind boggling 9 weeks for airmail).

There is a surface mail parcel still on the way after 4 months and no sign of it arriving any time soon.

Well, I have had DVDs and other stuff come via economy from the US. Had it in just over 3 weeks. If Canada post has issues, I'll look for the same item in the US.Quite a few sellers are using economy and the price has always been cheap.  I think maybe no tracking with Economy though.

Under nomal circumstances, Canada post takes possibly a week longer than USPS. I have had stuff come in about 3 weeks in  the past.. So economy must come via air.

How much experience have you had with Canada Post?

Even before Coronavirus problems surfaced it was always slow (and expensive) and many sellers will quote airmail postage but send via surface mail when they find out how expensive airmail is.
