I use gixen.com to snipe. They have a free version and a paid one which costs about $5 a year.

good one afantiques I had to read the OP's question twice as I wasn't sure iif he/she meant snipe or snip but even then I thought snip was an online cutting device/program...lol

Sniping programs or companies do not help you win bids, they help you place bids and there is a big difference.
There is not better sniping tool than your own sweet self.
The highest bid always wins and often you may not be sure of what your highest bid is until you get down to the wire. So it's just best to watch the end of the auction, if it goes over your highest ammount you are prepared to pay then you can move on. If on the other hand it is below your maximum, then you simply wait till the final 20 seconds and place your REAL AT THAT MOMENT maximum bid. It matters not what happens in the final few seconds after than.
