As in, does it have a specific purpose eg bread knife.  I know that's not what it would be used for, just an example.

Looks like a paring or general purpose knife, made by Mirage.

No idea who Mirage is, no idea, without dimensions, of it's purpose.

Blade looks like a boning knife, but handle is not suited.

Could be either a fruit or cheese knife.

Sorry, Dave. Describing knives isn't one of my areas of great knowledge. 

Total length is  28.5 cm

Length of blade section is 14 cm

This style of handle is meant to be seen rather than practical.

So probably a cheese board knife as someone suggested.

And the top of the knife is removed making it easier to cut through cheese.

Narrow blades are particularly good for this task. 

A serrated blade would suggest it is also for fruit.

A grapefruit knife is usually curved and serrated on both sides.
