Looking for help with this crystal bowl

Hi all,

I have been asked to sell this crystal bowl. It has been handed down in a family for number of generations. That is all of the information that I have about it.

I suspect it's lead crystal as it's very heavy. It has a zig zag edge. (Is that the correct way to describe it?) Any other help with the pattern description would also be greatly appreciated.

It's about 9 cm high at its highest point and the diameter is approx 21 cm, (outside rim to outside rim).

Many thanks for your help. Even the smallest titbit would be most appreciated.

Here is a one reply:

'I think this is a late 19th early 20th century lead cut crystal bowl American Brilliant Cut with hobstars and castellated scalloped top edge. Lovely. Probably between £50-£80'

There's your hobstars, twyn! 🙂

And so we've come full circle. Look at this reply 😀

'Providing there is no damage at all, a set like this…probably a desert set would be about £120-150
Try comparing on eBay under American brilliant cut period items….
Hope it helps.'
