Looking for help with this crystal bowl

Hi all, 

I have been asked to sell this crystal bowl. It has been handed down in a family for number of generations. That is all of the information that I have about it. 

I suspect it's lead crystal as it's very heavy. It has a zig zag edge. (Is that the correct way to describe it?) Any other help with the pattern description would also be greatly appreciated. 

It's about 9 cm high at its highest point and the diameter is approx 21 cm, (outside rim to outside rim).

Many thanks for your help. Even the smallest titbit would be most appreciated.

Trifle is an English dessert that has been around since the 1700s.....although earlier versions date from the late 1500s.

I have a modern heavy glass bowl with 4 smaller matching bowls and the suggested use was for desserts such as strawberries and cream, fruit salad.....and trifles.  That's what I used mine for - trifles. 🙂

Actually, on close inspection I can see thatthey are NOT all the same. The 6 little ones are but they are slightly different from the big one. I've taken some photos to show what I mean:

The stars in the bases are different, and the on the side under the saw tooth, there is a full star on the big one, but only a half something (star?) on the little ones.

yes, I think you have two different designs - the large bowl is a lot more detailed...might even be different brands?

I really don't know what to do about them. This is stressing me out! 😄

So I should sell them separately?

I would sell separately - the set of 6 - and the large bowl....you never know, the same person might buy both. The large one looks more expensive, though!

Thanks twyn. I think you're right. Not sure where to sell it though. 

I'm a bit afraid to list it on ebay because the fees would be exorbitant 😞 and of course then there is inline theft, that ebay makes pretty easy 😞

I'm with Twyn - they are 2 different designs.
