Return requested cancelled by eBay.

Hello

I have been trying for over two weeks to get a return email from a seller. Now eBay have chosen to cancel the request. The item does not work. I was very tolerant of the sellers requests for information only to finfpd that tolerance has worked against me. I want a refund, I am happy to return the item but the seller has not sent replay paid post label. You go around in circles on eBay to chase the matter further to no avail. I want ebays  Money Back Guarantee. I can’t seem to get it without the seller confirming or agreeing to a return.

Re: Return requested cancelled by eBay.

You don't need to contact the seller. Certainly not more than once.

What you needed to do after opening the case was to escalate it within the MBG timeframes. Which it appears you didn't do.

Re: Return requested cancelled by eBay.

You had the opportunity to use the MBG, but obviously chose not to do so.

There is no going around in circles at all... just opening a request within the allotted time frame, and escalating said request also within the allotted time frame. There's no requirement to communicate with the seller at all outside of the request.

Unfortunately for you, simply allowing the request to time out (as it appears you have done) means you lose, as eBay assume you and the seller have reached a satisfactory resolution. Let's face it, if you weren't happy, you'd follow the steps to get your money back, right?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but once a request is closed it can't be reopened... so the availability of the MBG for this transaction has now expired.

Had you followed the appropriate procedure and asked eBay to step in, the request would in all likelihood have been found in your favour. You'd have got your money back and if the seller hadn't provided a return label, there would have been no need to return the faulty product.

Re: Return requested cancelled by eBay.

The seller you left the neg for ?

They've got disgusting feedback, registered in China and played you so they wouldn't have to refund you....

Re: Return requested cancelled by eBay.

If you want the MBG you need to use it

If you do not use it, you are not covered by it

As said, you choose to buy from a seller with shockingly bad feedback, and then allowed them to play games with you by leaving it to late to open and follow through with the dispute that would have gotten your money back

No need to be tolerant, send emails etc etc

You had the opportunity and power to be covered but did not use it
