Lets hope they find these 2 boys soon, they are only 5 and 6 years old...

My heart goes out to their families.

Good news, but I'm still angry.

The boys, who are friends and neighbours, were out playing and did not return home yesterday when they were supposed to.

What does that mean?   How does a 5/6 yo know when to come home?  After dark?

And how come the mums weren't even worried about snakes at least.

Forget about other predators.

But i see they were in control enough to cry on their Facebook pages!!

Rant over

So glad they are safe.  This calls for a selfie.

I heard such statements like:  "They were seen playing at intersection"  and then there was another sighting at ...such and such.  If I see a small child without an adult on the street I ask them where are they going and where they belong.  And would attempt to take them home, or alert their parents.

Seems the mums have gained police attention.   Good

Police said part of their investigation would look at why the young boys were playing unsupervised.

"As part of the ongoing process our detectives will speak with [the parents] and try to find out what happened.

"That will form part of what the CIB and the detectives do, but at this stage we are just happy that the children have been found and they are both safe and both well."

that's very easy to say. I thought I was doing the right thing one day at the local shopping centre - this littley came running out of the shop and straight into traffic in the car park. I was having coffee outside - got up and ran over, picked the little tacker up, turned around to see the mother bearing down on me like I was going to take the boy. Looked at me hatefully and accusingly!! There was no 'thankyou' - she grabbed / snatched the boy from me and turned on her heel and stormed away.

Would you have felt better to not catch him? Some people are just rude but perhaps she was in shock and thought you took him.

Any number of things can happen with children, both families may have thought they were with the other parent

Well done Mr. Poddy, thank goodness you were there to protect the child from harm and danger.

Disappointing that the mother was so rude and nasty to you, but you can ignore that and just know that you did a wonderful and caring thing, thank goodness you were at the right place at the right time ....  Heart
