Their status is 'gone' actually.

....and will reports give us the truthful status for those that were non-permanent residents and those on visas or applying for same?

Will these poor souls be recognised on the official count of 'Australians'  dead after being criminally shot down?

Nothing dramatic about it. It was their status at the time of their death. They were travelling on non-Australian passports. It doesn't mean their deaths were less important than those who were citizens.

I don't wish to add anymore other than the facts I already posted. Your line of questioning is going nowhere.

Re: 27 australians missing on downed malaysian flight

..."Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 changed course before it was shot down because its pilots were trying to avoid gathering thunderstorms, it has been claimed.

When crashed, the jet was reportedly miles outside the flight path it used on previous trips from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.

Nico Voorbach, president of the European Cockpit Association, said: "I heard that they were diverting from some showers. I think there were thunderclouds. You would ask air traffic control to divert left or right, and they would give you the permission."

.....an excuse is given but plane similarly 'changed course' from planned flight path as did MH370.

Waiting for the usual expected barrage of abusive, belittling, accusations deeming me a conspiracy theorist

The permanent residents killed overseas are counted/included in the death toll by the country they hold a passport for? See below.

NZ news.
Foreign Minister Murray McCully confirms one New Zealander and one long-time NZ resident were killed when MH17 was shot down.

Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully yesterday said a British citizen who lived in New Zealand had been on the fatal flight.

Ayley, originally from Guildford in the United Kingdom, is thought to have been travelling on a British passport, the New Zealand Herald reported.
Ayley, his brother, and his parents, were now all New Zealand residents.

A New Zealand woman who was living in Australia and her Dutch husband were also killed.

McCully said the New Zealand woman on the plane normally resided in Australia, and was travelling with her husband, a Dutch citizen.
