Hey ecar xx
No, not the Allens. Totally different brand, I think it's only Allens that have stopped making then along with lots of other lollies they used to make, how miserable is that ....

Tassie, are the pine cones "crunchy"?
You're a clever girl......and I don't care if you name plants incorrectly.

Stawks, inside the yule log is a chocolate buttercream which I have also used on the top.
The kitchen looked like a disaster area, icing sugar up the walls, frosting all over my apron, and Mr. Tasfleur took charge most magnificently of the clean up, bless him.
The Australian Christmas carols are sounding through the house.
By midnight though, it will all be finished ... the decorations are up and the tree be lit!
Back later. .......

Lloyds, the pine cones are fakes of course, but I painted them with glitter paint xxx Hope nobody tries to eat them tomorrow ...
Until later then, I must go ... xxx

Thank you tas, may I be so bold to ask for the recipe???
(I think stawka and I would like to make it!)
PS stawka- I got an invite, no face slapping needed, but I will now retire to take off my silk stockings and high heels..

PS .... youcandoit .... I found the yule log recipe on the internet ... I can tell you though, that rolling the darn thing can be catstrophic, of biblical proportions .... it tried to escape twice but I caught it (twice).
It's like a gummy crazed anaconda, but once it's rolled, it's okay!
