Needs to be 25 at least, or have a social history book at hand.

Yes even my grand children use the correct term for lady and man parts.
It took me years to say it and now I am not allowed.
I went to the doctor once and said some thing is wrong down there, he said where, your foot, I said you no down there, he said say the right term and I did.
He said he was amused that a women my age could not even us a correct term for the V.

A little different circumstance than a forum?

To be a bit fair on our current mods, whilst they are employed by Lithium, they still have to operate under and administer to eBay's guidelines. So not only do these folk have the "Lithium Employee Conduct & Acceptable Practises Handbook" to work with, but also that of eBay's.
I doubt that anyone could deny that the competency and effectiveness of the current moderation framework far surpasses that of the previous one.

a good moderator would let people come back after awhile when they've been considered to be naughty. There are so many regulars MIA lately that there'll be hardly anyone left in 12 months the way we're going

With regard to the" naughty bits", I thought it was an automatic filter that 'bleeped them, not the mods.

Interesting thought.
I once used the exact same word as two previous posters in the same
thread. My post was removed and I got a 'your post was removed because..'
but the other two posts remained! Still scratching my head.

The sanctions could then be automated if they aren't already? I was once told I was trolling someone when I was having a joke with them, someone who I actually like and found to be quite funny. Although I realize it is probably silly I was highly offended.

That's where a good moderator should be able to understand
the Aussie sense of humour. Aussies are always having a dig
at someone. I have noticed a couple of Canadian mods.
They should understand our humour at least.
