How many attending a Dawn Service or maybe as a spectator at one of the big marches ?  Or even marching ?

Re: ANZAC Day

My husband, son and grandson are going to the dawn service - not sure about marching but my OH is a returned soldier and son/grandson have my dad's medals.

I will be at the RSL from 5.45am helping cook breakfast.

We will be there at the local service.  I hope I don't sleep in.  They also do a breakfast afterwards but we will likely come home and make bacon and eggs.

Re: ANZAC Day

My daughter's school is having a sleepout under the stars tonight to help them understand the "Anzac Experience". They are then being woken up in time to travel to the local RSL to sing at the dawn service. I said it's not a real Anzac Experience unless they're going to be made dig trenches, fill them with water, and try to get to sleep in them while people shot at them! All I got was a giant groan and an eye roll (I also think I heard her refer to me as a tad "unnecessary").

Re: ANZAC Day

We're going to the dawn service and then the breakfast run by the local RSL sub branch. It's their major fund raiser for the year so we thought we would support it.
I usually go to the morning service but because it's the centenary (and other reasons) we decided to go at dawn this year.
