I hate it when that happens. You want to cry for them but you want to hit the monsters that do it.There is a boy that comes down to play but only when Darcy has something new or he wants to stay the night.I tell him no or go home.

When you find the housework fairies number send it to me pleeeeaaaasssseeee

Re: **AUTISM / ASPERGERS SUPPORT GROUP**

Yeah, she's been so sad tonight, I had tears in my eyes when I was telling her it will be ok. It's not fair she is such a caring girl. I think I might have to have a word with the teacher.

Hey you'll laugh OH put the GPS on the window above the sink. I told him it was to give him directions on how to reach the sink and do dishes....

It was moved quick smart LOL

Last time my hubby did dishes was mothers day after I cooked the baked dinner lol.Might get him a GPS so he can find his way lol.

I had a word with Darcys teacher the other day about the excursion to Bathurst and we decided if he doesnt want to go thats ok but he has extra activities he has to do.But he wont budge he just doesnt want to leave his comfort zone.So we will head of to maitland and go to Grossman house and Maitland jail hopefully.he will still have to learn about history one way or the other.

Hello all :-x

mapalarkin, I noticed with my eldest that starting year 7 was very much like starting School all over again.

I hope you have an easier time than I did............it was hell for us. Things didn't start coming good until mid way through year 8. Mostly because my girl didn't go through primary with the other kids.

My boy come back from Outwardbound late Monday and he is much more pleasant to be around. The camp seems to have worked.

I would like the housework fairies to come to my place to please :^O

Re: **AUTISM / ASPERGERS SUPPORT GROUP**

LOL bring on the house work fairies! Maybe OH could dress up as one...maybe not lets not go there ROFL

Well OH chatted to teacher this morning re DD, she was really quite upset. Apparently she had explained to the High School that DD needs a little extra help. Obviously went on deaf ears.

DD asked what does she have to do for people to like her?

I told her just be her, coz she is a great kid. But I don't think it comforted her any. She said at breakfast time she can't wait to come home.....

All I can do is cuddle her and reassure her, but its tough sometimes coz your heart breaks with them.

Apparently our high school starts the transition for kids with disabilitys mid way through year six. They have 1 day a week learning to find there way and go to classes with kids that went to same public school.I was starting to stress about that this year because we have 2 years left in primary school but a mum with a boy who has a disability told me they have been great. So hoping that they are still the same when Darcy goes.

I hope your daughter has a better day at school today Chit-chat.Nothing worse than knowing they are unhappy and theres nothing we can do except reasure them and give them love.

I think my housework fairies have gone on holiday somewhere warm and dry.

Re: **AUTISM / ASPERGERS SUPPORT GROUP**

Hey everyone, hope you are all ok. Its school holidays here, DD is so excited to be home for 2 weeks!!

Had a meeting with DD's teacher, she is 1 year behind so looking into tutoring and she will do a little (not alot) extra work over the holidays.

It is upsetting though, she has a good IQ, but her ability to learn is obviously clouded by her other difficulties. Although it's encouraging to know the capacity is there.

Not that it matters as she is delightful no matter.

Anyway its been quiet in here, hope everyone is ok ๐Ÿ™‚
