I don't but Drew's teacher is from Wodonga, I will ask her for you. ๐Ÿ™‚

Is Wangaratta an option as well?

thanks girls :-x
Kylie, this year it wouldnt make a huge amount of differance as he is only in prep, but from grade 1 it would mean more teacher aide time and one on one help in the class room, aswell as teachers knowing that he needs to be treated a bit differantly to the other kids (as much as i hate that, at this point it is neccisary)

I don't know what normal is anymore

Thanks Kiwi ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm near Mount Beauty so Albury/Wodonga is closer but if there is an excellent pead in Wangaratta I'll definitely travel.

I love camping kiwi and can hardly wait for miss 4 to join Scouts.

Yes, Mstr 15 thinks he knows everything :^O

He nearly does my head in sometimes, I will miss him but at the same time I am going to enjoy a week of peace.

Kiwi, good luck with your master 9. You might need to start cultivating a lot of patience now if you haven't started already.

wow another huge catchup for me,

dolly, when i read your pst about the pead it made my blood boil. you know, two days before a premature baby specialist diagnosed my son with autism, the peadiatrician said he was alovley normal little boy with no problems...grrrrrrrrrr

i now have no faith at all in peads, they are too generalized, like a gp but for littlies.

lisa, i hope your boy comes back enlightened it is supposed to do that. what i would give for my boy to do something like that.

Hi Dolls, yes the teacher's aide will help a lot plus you do get the IEP but the school should be able to alert the other teachers in the meantime so that they can "treat him as an aspie". Keep pushig love, because even when you get that magic label, it still takes nearly 6 months for the school to get the funding for the teacher's aid (did for all of mine anyway) plus there is also some cut off point too for the school to apply but it has been too long since i did it so can't remember

Here in Vic the cut off for funding is in July, so if we want to apply for next year, we need to apply within the month.

BUT, it's extremely difficult to get funding here for ASD kids, so we miss out completely. The school manages to shuffle things around so he gets some aide time, but I don't know how they find the funds.
