He had a bad day yesterday so I let him take it easy last night, de-stressed him ready for the day only to have her crack down on him like a ton of bricks this morning and now he is even more stressed than yesterday. X-(

Why can't she just start afresh with no hang-overs from yesterday - they would have had a great day if she had.

She sounds pretty brainless to me or uneducated in terms of Aspergers. Don't they train teachers anymore on dealing with special needs?

Sounds pretty insensitive to me I'm just sorry your boy has to put up with it. ๐Ÿ˜ž

Our school is pretty good with him, but has to work within DECS guidelines, which are pretty restrictive with how much assistance the school can give him.

Our principal is pretty darn good and always listens to what is said and does whatever she can, within guidelines to help.

It's DECS that don't offer the funding for the kind of support necessary.

I'm armed with plenty of literature on ASD and I think they will get a lot out of our meeting.

My boy has been off school now for 6 weeks and 2 weeks of that was holidays. They just refuse to let him go to school. He is driving me crazy he should get to start his new school soon but for the time being its me only.

It depends on his mood for the day if I can get him to do anything...usually not. :_|

I paid $200 for Cam's psych to go to school and talk with the teacher at the start of the year. I am yet to see any sign that the teacher has actually taken any notice of it.

She moved the furniture around again this morning as well. ๐Ÿ˜ž

Unfortunately there are good and bad in all schools.

I wish you luck with your endeavours to have your child treated better.

If all else fails, approach your District Ed office and take along someone like a Disability Advocate. They have them in all states now and it helps to have someone who is independant of the situation to act as a go-between.

That way, you're not making enemies of the school, as the advocate is talking on behalf of your child.
