She was just being difficult. I'll be changing psychologists in the New Year anyway as DD needs more than just one visit per month. I did eventually get her to sign the forms but I may not be re approved under medical grounds. I am yet to find out.

Sadly I am in a unique situation so not really any one who can help in this area. Its a matter of what will be will be I think.

Hope everyone else is doing well.... Hope our thread still exists tomorrow...

Bella, I really wish you could se my psychologist - she bends over backwards to help.  But I guess Melbourne's West is far too far away.

I hesitate to comment. However, I suspect he is probably on the spectrum but without knowing more about him, who knows? The girl comes off as a little badly mannered.

I have just come from playgroup Christmas party (Autism Qld) with 6 of my grandchildren, assisted by my SIL who is great! he baked as well.

Lovely morning and mostly good.:-D The food was supplied by the centre and the parents and was mostly gluten/allergen free type which was a pleasant change, which means we are all listening to each other as far as the children are concerned.

Gifts were supplied by parents.....we had the usual tussles over toys...

One child got a Cars toy...Mater....so pedantic grandson of mine told both child and his mum that they were saying it wrong......you can imagine the rest. I think the mum was a tad offended. woops.

Grandaughter got a Thomas train...Bash. 3 other children like Thomas too......she did let them hold it.

Had a discussion with the lovely facillitator about the words we have to remember to use...never say yes unless you mean yes...and try never to say no.

Does this change at any point?

Home again and I have 5 children until 3pm.....

If you say yes and don't do something it will be held against you forever.. Mr 13 still tells me I broke a promise as I said yes without checking if I could actually give what I said yes too and it turned out I could not follow through..

Now I never say yes unless I am 110% sure I can deliver...

I tend not to use the words  later, sometime, and soon...

as he is getting older it is getting easier to incorporate those words now but I still try to give definates rather than open ended options...

The word no is generally used in a sentence about why not rather than just a no...

Hello all,

How is everyone going?  Haven't heard from you all in so long. Lots of positive things happening here atm which is fantastic.  The eldest princess ended up asking to return to school.  School have improved no end with the girls and are far more flexible.  (That's not to say its perfect but its a great start!)

DD13 has settled right down, we changed psychs and have found one that is actually relating her (YAY!!!) OH is retraining himself through uni (thanks Sheepie for that advice ages ago it did help).

I'm doing well too! 🙂  Anyway would be great to hear from you all.  I'm off to bed now but will check again in the morning.

Wonderful to hear things are looking up Bella ♥

We are plodding along quite nicely, C has been given a slightly higher dose of Lovan. something to do with him now being 5 ft 10!!!  The paed nearly fell over when he stood up at the last visit, she is not short but he is now taller than her even! :^O

He is fairly calm most days and will be going to the Western Autistic school once a week this year - they run an arts program to help the kids cope.  Hopefully it will work for him.

I think I am having slightly more trouble with the younger so called "normal" one now - he has hit puberty with a vengeance. 😐
