LOL witchy ๐Ÿ™‚ She used to be pretty freaked out by the green melting witch on the wizard of oz, but liked the good witch lol.

I made an appointment to see the Pead in October so just need to obtain a referral from the local doctors or I'll get one at my old doctors on the way down there.

But I think it needs assessment and shouldn't be left. Anyway thanks everyone.

*waves to doll* Hope your little one feels well soon, hugs:-x

mapalarkin - its great to see your teacher is so committed to meeting Darcy's needs and that there are other supportive parents in the school. I think you will find given time things will improve. Good luck to you and your little man ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks all for the support and words.

taking baby steps is the only thing we can do at the moment and I dont mind and hubbys going to take a week off work to spend time with Darcy and he will walk to and from school with him just to get his confidence back.We are very lucky with his teacher. She has helped us so much over the last 2 years even giving up her lunch time to sit with Darcy so other kids would come and sit with them and Darcy could get o know them more. That and the few freinds he has is the only reason she is still at this school. But we can only go forward now and he does seem happier today than he did yesterday. Cheers all.

CCG LOL I was pretty freaked out by the green melting witch too, nothing wrong with that ๐Ÿ˜‰

Good Luck with getting your girl sorted. It must be so hard to see her go through this stuff and not be able to "fit it" like us parents like to do.

((hugs))

mapalarkin ~ WTG with the teacher that is great. And I am pleased she had words with the office staff.
"Something wicked this way comes!"

Morning all

Seems as things are under control

They are indeed under control atm Kylie...............Hope life is good over your way too.

It seem's that when everything settles down at my place, my doopy neighbour starts her nonsense.............she has another full size horse in her small yard.....anyway, early hours of the morning the horse started whinying and miss 17 stuck her head out the window and made the same noise back at the horse.........we didn't hear another peep out of it :^O:^O:^O

awww thanks Witchy:-x

I took DD out shopping today, she tells me that the voices are telling her to hurt herself or kill herself ๐Ÿ˜ž Sometimes its just darnright heartbreaking. But even in the midst of all of this I do feel a peace strangely and I know that it will be ok.

The positive about it is that shes talking about it. So that in itself is a big step forward. We will monitor her closely and keep her talking. She also has some strategies to help her deal with her emotions.

In the mean time I think I might try to go on the Peads cancellation list in case an earlier appointment comes up.

Anyway I guess all of us here have our battles, you know you inspire me, all of you! But mostly thanks for your support:-x

hey chit chat girl, if you told your peady what she was saying, surely that would class as an emergency. As a doctor, if he was informed of this, I wouldn't think that he would be prepared to face the law suits and public backlash if by a very, very , very remote chance something severe was going on here, and he was aware, yet did nothing to help you. Pure compassion would surely cause him to offer you an out of hours appointment if needed. after all, if somebody had their baby early, would he say, ummmm sorry, catch it yourself, appointment is not for 2 more months.

chit chat, if he won't see you immediately, find one who will.

on the off chance that something is NQR, would you forgive yourself if you didn't get someone to see her?

sorry chit chat, wasn't trying to lay a guilt trip on you, as you know up until that last post, I was trying to take your mind off things. I just thought that maybe you were too nice to get cross with your peady and insist on an appointment if you really thought that you needed one. Believe me chitty, I know how scary it is when you are unsure what is happening inside them. Sometimes, just sharing with a proffessional helps to relieve your burdeon IYKWIM.

I honestly didn't mean to upset you, I was trying to be supportive. Everybody, including me, knows what a wonderful job you do with your children, and we know just how much harder it is when they have extra challenges to conquer.

My son was suicidal when he was 9. he was heavily medicated for anxiety and depression and he had a nervous breakdown. I know how scary and painful this can be for a parent to watch.
