Nope.   The rainband went south out to the ocean.

Melbourne not expecting rain of any consequence, til stumps.

Insurance is gunna be a pain, Twynnie

I lost the contents of a fridge/freezer a few years back.

The photos, they liked.    But I had to individually price everything for replacement.

No on-line shopping in those days, so I had to walk the aisles of the supermarket

just writing down prices.

Hope they don't make you do that.

See if you can borrow a couple of jars of Baluga caviar and 3 kilos of Kobe strip steak to put in your fridge before you take photos, twyngwyn 😉

When I lost the contents of a 3 month old freezer I claimed on the manufacturer.   There was an upper limit of $300 which was way under the value of the lost items (it was coming up to Christmas and I had pork, turkey rolls and other seasonal goodies).

As it was the second time this had happened.....the first time as 6 weeks after we bought it....and I had not made a claim the first time, I rang and appealed the amount.  The service man was terrific...he had been out both times and confirmed that I had lost a substantial amount of food the first time as well.   In the end I was sent a cheque for $500, which at the time was a goodly sum of money and certainly refilled the NEW freezer.

been pretty nice here the last 2 days, around 24c with cool sea breeze. glad the humid weathers moved on.

oh, and woke up this morning to the news our new NBN service has been switched on, i will be able to give telstras expensive wireless service the filck at last! yay!
