After watching Q & A with David Suzuki....I am starting to feel kind of sorry for Alarmists....
David Suzuki also had to admit he was wrong..lol.
http://www.abc.net.au/tv/qanda/txt/s3841115.htm
"David Suzuki on the very first question is revealed as a complete know-nothing. His questioner tells him that the main climate
data sets show no real warming for some 15 years.
Suzuki asks for the references, which he should have known if he knew anything of the science.
His questioner then lists them: UAH, RSS, HadCrut and GISS - four of the most basic measurement systems of global
temperature.
Suzuki asks what they are.
Anyone interested in global warming should know right there that Suzuki has absolutely no understanding of what he is talking
about...
For Example -
Challenged from the floor by Professor Stewart Franks, Suzuki admits he might have been mistaken in claiming global warming
was causing more cyclones, which he blamed for killing the Great Barrier Reef. He blames some Australian for “suggesting” it to
him. The truth, as I’ve noted before, is easily found on the Bureau of Meteorology website:.."
Between Tim Flannery and David Suzuki, it must be very embarrassing time to be an Alarmist......lol.

Well gosh siggie-reported-by-alarmists I wonder what I meant by this earlier comment:
"1998 annual mean was warm (spike) due to a El Niño event, but in annual mean it was exceeded in 2002, 2005, 2007, and 2010. However, if one takes the more meaningful 5 year_Mean, every year after 1998 has a greater (+) temperature anomaly from the 1998 and the 1951-1980 base."
Do you know what annual, or 5 year mean refers to DLA? and the complete lack of scientific methodology in selecting a maximum value and comparing it over a short term to a low value?
Pick what periods you want siggie-reported-by-alarmists, it does not change the long term recorde global positive temperature variation, and as you are, like myself, a fan of NASA try this:
"James E. Hansen, the director of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York, said during a Tuesday press call, "Each decade has been significantly warmer than the prior decade since the mid-1970s." He added, "We can predict with confidence that the next decade will be warmer than the last."

Pfffftt.....Gosh Monman.....so you do believe NASA.....
Just selectively....... a little bit like David Suzuki.......No....actually he would ask what NASA stands for....
....giggle.....

POD: "Try the morbidity rate for Baghdad John if you are trying to tie morbidity to temperature swing"
Why would I POD ? Stick to the point in question, because I would just like you to back up this post of yours with some facts:
"By the way that temperature swing exists today -40 to +40 degrees C in at least one, that comes to mind, highly populated place in the world. It happens to be a thriving metropolis. Not my idea of a place to live but it is to many millions of others"

Of course, you are welcome to notify Nasa and let them know that their satellites are wrong......good luck!
Back peddling by Alarmists is always entertaining.......
actually, it's back-pedalling.
Can't even get that right. Sheesh.

Those back pedalling alarmists like NASA:

"back pedalling"? Next thing naughty NASA will be launching their satellites on a Westerly trajectory.

Gosh Monman.....so you do believe NASA?.....
Just selectively......and, just not the graphs I post....
Satellite measurements are real world observations Monman...
..your quote from James E. Hansen - We can predict with confidence that the next decade will be warmer than the last."
" appears in a 1971 Washington Post article that warns of an impending ice age within 50 years. Lucky
it's not the 70"s anymore Monman. He loves being an Alarmists.....hot or cold..
James Hansen arrested at a demonstration outside the White House, August 29, 2011
Not a good look.........
Him being arrested is not the point..
IT is strange that you are quoting Hansen...as he is no longer the Director of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies.
Old out dated quote perhaps?
The current Director of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies is . Peter Hildebrand, Director of the Earth Sciences Division
at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md..... and probably not for long.
......giggle......
Still no cigar for you Monman.......

Is Tony Abbott's main scientific adviser on climate change the discredited denialist Ian Pilmer- a geologist ?
Has he (Tony Abbott) ignored the advice of the CSIRO and the Bureau of Meteorology (2 leading climate research institutes) as well as the Australian Academy of Science's report on the science of climate change ?
Does the AAA's report state :
"The global average surface temperature has increased over the last century and many other associated changes have been observed. The available evidence implies that greenhouse gas emissions from human activities are the main cause. It is expected that, if greenhouse gas emissions continue at business-as-usual rates, global temperatures will further increase significantly over the coming century and beyond."
Is David Sukizi in Australia to speak about the Great Barrier Reef? Are their more coal mines in the planning which could affect the Great Barrier Reef ?
Did the Liberal Part receive these donations
prior to the 2013 election, according to the Australian Electoral Commission include mining company Santos ($227,880), Clive Palmer's Minerology ($459,900), nickel miners Minara Resources ($358,000) and Mincor Resources ($120,000), Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group ($50,000), and oil giant Chevron ($28,500).
If climate change and our impact on our environment and those who talk about it are lol'd at ...
could that not close doors (think Julia Gillard and the false media reports) and open new ones as well ?
