I know that these two young men were stupid but the other thread will gone by the time I get up in the morning.
Yes, they knew Indonesian law and yes they were young enough and silly enough to ignore it. They are grown men now and they are reformed.
Can we please help save them? I don't know how which makes me feel sick. So sad to see the mother and brother crying and saying that her son needs to be saved for a silly mistake when he was hardly more than a kid.

Sukumaran's artwork is pretty impressive and he is due to complete his Fine Arts degree this year if he were to still be alive.
My brother, my cousin, my BIL, all died from heroin overdoses as did various friends and aquantainces. Over the years, I have watched people go from being beautiful, creative and sucessful to the walking dead who would willingly sell their grandmothers for a fix. Many of them ended up dying from overdoses but some did manage to turn their lives around. But these were users. Chan and Sukuranam weren't users, were they? I have no problem with them remaining in prison.
Murder is murder whether it be legal or not and I do not condone it. ,

What where their previous drug offences?
1. Lawrence also admitted, after her arrest in Indonesia on 17 April 2005, to two prior visits to Bali in October and November 2004. She and Chan had made an earlier successful run with heroin from Bali to Australia during their October visit.
What I'm suggesting is their life of crime started well before that. I have read stories of Chan beating up and bullying people since high school.

Who causes more harm. users or dealers?
Are people killed in war murders???
Supposely the death penalty involves themselves shooting themselves, is that murder?

As I said, I am against death penalty; I am sad that the other 6 people died last week. I am sad that many other Indonesians, Malays and other Asian people are executed, and it either does not hit our media, or we do not care. Many people over there get involved with drugs because of crushing poverty and inability to support their families, not like these kids who wanted to make quick buck. But I am not going to be telling the Indonesians how to deal with their law. Nor would I be telling them that they should keep these people for the next 50 plus years.
How would you feel if the Indonesians would be telling us that they do not like our justice system.
