If on opening the thread, you discover it does not tally with your preconceived idea of what it was going to be about, then, hopefully you will start asking yourself a few questions: is the OP a valid comment? do I agree with it or not? Why did I assume it was going to be about something else. Was my assumption valid or was it simply a conditioned response? If it was simply a conditioned response, should I possibly be thinking a bit more laterally and broadening my horizens?

In the paddock.
You never know the spiralling effects of terrorism
And the casualties that don't even warrant a mention
Warnig to all toe farmers: never let your stock loose in a paddock - they may get trodden on by a cow,
Seriously though, which parts of the article in Supernova's link did you disagree with, and why?

Posters choose the thread they
Wish to read by the title and or the
Poster I gather thats how it works.
And possibly dont appreciate being
Decieved just so someone else
Might get their jollies or feed their
Ego .
I usually stay away from a thread with
Certain OPS that dont appreciate my imput.
In this case by the title,
I thought it may have been something worthwhile.
Seems I'm always wrong and here I am
Wrong again

Even the sheriff of Harney County has spoken out on the covert intentions of the terrorists. He knows that they are not there to support the Hammonds, who asked the "militia" to go home, but to instigate through threats and an armed presence an agenda of their own. The Federal government doesn't own the land, but assigns the Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management to oversee, protect, and enhance the land for its owners, the American citizenry. Sometimes the rules are arcane, and mistakes are made, but overall they do a decent job, catering to environmentalists, farmers, ranchers, and the several Native American tribes in a particular area of the country.
Those terrorists occupying the refuge headquarters want the land for their own use, avoiding grazing fees, as demonstrated by the Bundy clan in Nevada.

But Opmania, surely when you saw who had posted that title you knew immediately that whatever the the OP said, it was inevitably going to offend you. Think of all the angst you could have saved yourself simply by not clicking on it.

Will no one think of the toes let loose in a paddock?
Confected outrage at not being able to write someone else's script.
The event in the op may not be the same level or form of terrorism that the world has been subjected to but it is open to interpretation. Some of you sound almost disappointed instead of being relieved.

I'm very glad to hear it. I rather enjoy our little spats - they keep me on my toes and exercise my 'leetle grey cells'
