Yesterday I posted a thread entitled Another Terrorist Attack In US It indicted my belief that thie incident was an act of terrorism and I provided a link to a news page to provide the facts and show why I held that opinion.  Today, the Sun Herald has published an article providing even more detailed facts and agreeing with my opinion. Since the Sun Herald is in the Muedoch stable and could not  be described by even the mosst rabid 'right wingers'  as representing the 'loony left' I feel my opinion has been somewhat vindicated.

Stawka disagrees with my opinion and that of the Sun Herald and has provided her own lllinks to show why she disagrees  On that basis she and I  are abe to have an intelligent debate without resorting to personal innuendo. Stawka did ask me if I had watched the video, but you will notice that at no time has either of us  accused the othe of not checking our sources or of relying on social media for our opinions

the fact is - there has not been another

terrorist attack in the US (thank God)

And if the names of these militants were Mohamed or Habib instead of Bundy would anyone doubt that  they were terrorists?,

the san bernardino shooters,

despite of having names of arabic origin,

were NOT considered as terrorists until

their motives became known.

Not paying attention, often creates disputes.

The use of the word "terrorism", as said further in this thread, needs to be approached carefully. It has a meaning, and there is, a reaction, that is clearly set by previous acts of killing. A protest, has a different meaning and generates a different emotional response. To any reasonable person, the thread title can mean another 9/11 just happened. Think about that, and see the difference.

maybe I should have emphasised the IF and WERE TO and  added more question marks. Since I can't recall an incident where a group of armed  black activists has ever barricaded themselves inside a government owned building and threatened violence against the police if they tried to temove them, of course it has to be conjecture - but but for those who maintain this current incident is not an act of terrorism it is nevertheless, perhaps, a question worth considering
