The teacher in my family has a boy in the class who is named BOSS. So, when he indicates that he wants to answer or ask something, the teacher has to say "Yes Boss". Sticks in the craw somewhat. My opinion is the naming of that boy is quite cruel.
In the same school, there is a girl named UNEEK.
Then there are celebrities' babies and their names. They, perhaps, will not be pilloried as much as others, but it is still unkind in my opinion.

Uneek! Bogan name of the year award. Boss isn't so bad. I don't mind it at all.

I like "Harley" for a boy, "Honda" for a girl, and "Boss?" that seems a fine name for a Ford Mustang with the 302, or 429 and canted valve heads.

'Uneek'?? Oh thats awful.
and 'Boss'? whats that about- why not CEO? or President??
Oh, just had a thought, maybe these names are as close as the kid will get to being them, ie- unique or the boss?
Depressing.

The school my grandson goes to is in The Dandenongs, alot of hippies send their kids to this school, so there are bound to be some strange names, as there are less than 200kids there, when the kids have school photos done, there is also one done of the whole school, with each child individually named next to their pic..............so
There is a boy called..Daisy
A girl called,,,Bibi
A boy called...Fenn
A boy called...Gage
A boy called...Oison..........most kids call him Poison
A boy called...Oriana
A boy called...Pablo
A girl called...Pim
A boy called...Tikaani

If the girl had Boss as a name, and the boy Uneek, I wonder the reaction.

I think I'd be calling him master last name. It's certainly not a name I'd give a child or want to use when addressing a child.
