Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

Re: Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

Well the first email I sent bounced straight back so I googled a bit more and found she'd posted on a Limerick genealogy website only 6 months ago. Have tried that email and it seems to have gone through.

Re: Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

Hi Flashie

I'm a bit confused about Ellen Lumb (nee Howarth)

She had her illegitimate son Howarth in 1864.

Then married John Redman ?

Also married James Rostron ?

Do you know when she died died or if the above all relates to one persons marriages please.

Re: Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

Ellen Lumb is Howarth Lumb's mother.....................(Ellen Lumb married John Redman)

Howarth Lumb married Elizabeth Hopper........and they had a daughter Elsie Lumb.

Elsie Lumb went on to marry James Rostron.

You have muddled up Ellen and Elsie...........they are two seperate people.

The most likely death for Ellen Redman (nee Lumb) is 1921 Haifax Yorkshire.

Punch............I am going to have to leave your search.............it is too in depth for me to figure it out.

Hopefully the person you emailed may have some answers.

Re: Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

Thank you Flashie

I've got bits of paper all over the place at the moment.

Is there an internet site where you can build a family like they do on Ancestry.com

That way I will be able to make sense of all the people you've been researching for me.

I'm off to work till 11 pm so I'm unable to come back today.

Thank you kindly.

I got hold of her, not sure she has any answers on the Bradys, but she sent me a photo from the mid 1880's of my mother in law's grandparents.....i'm so excited 🙂 🙂 🙂

Google Legacy Family Tree, that  is very good  "Free" software to use for your family tree, install on your computer and away you go. There is a deluxe version for around $30-00 but that is not really needed.
