Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

aaggghhh I'm sat here looking at the 1901 census thanks to flashie, tried looking it up on genes reunited and the people on it don't exist. How the heck can that be?

Re: Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

It might just be as simple as Genes Reunited 1901 census is not complete for all areas.

On the Genealogy forum I vist I often read the same problems with Find My Past.

KK, hubby's family, on his fathers side, came from Wiltshire, and we believe his GG grandfather married a woman from France. That is where we were up to when hubby became ill, we will finish it one day.

Re: Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

Thats a shame ML, i hope you both can get back to it.
France,how romantic!

My dad always said we were decendants off a king in Ireland,we would just about wet ourselves laughing, thought it was a great joke.

Might have to check that out abit LOL.

Stokes were in Ballarat Vic,seems James was known as a great horse breaker.
Have some Australian Imperial Force records, more digging needed.

cheers, hope you managed to finish your clean-out!

Many. Though probably not as many as landlubbers would.
