Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

That works out to be a bit of a break through for me.

Alexander Morrison is my great great grandfather.

So I am jsut checking out their children now.

I just want to be sure before I add them to my tree.

I have seen something on the net which led me to "Marrison". Ring a bell?

Ancestry has that name for 1861 with 4 children. By 1881 the eldest and your ancester is no longer there but there is another son and then the 6 yo but you probably know that already.

I have 8 children for Alexander and Isabella Morrison

I think Isabella Hearne is the child of one oft he eldest girls.

I think that she may be a child of one of the older kids, good luck, hope you eventually find out.

I spent a heap of time putting all of Alexander Morrison's parents and brothers and sisters.............only to find that I had the wrong Alexander....:_|

There was another one born in the same town...........................and he is my correct one.

So I then spend a heap of time deleting all the wrong people I had put in my tree.

I then started looking into the right Alexanders family.......and put them in my tree.

I thought it was unusual that they also has a Christian in their tree......and it was for a female.

So I look a little further and find that both ALexanders fathers were brothers.

So now I have to re-look for all that infomation I put in my tree......and then took out again.:_| :_| :_|

Oh boy how confusing and what a pain for you.

I am confused just reading that.

Straighten me out here.  Alexander and Isabella, are they your ancesters but you put in the wrong brothers and sisters ect or are they not your ancesters.

If not what year was your Alexander born?
