Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

Re: Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

Punch...............I have about 7 trees on Ancestry too.

One is hubbys.

Three are mine..........one is 100% accurate...........and one is where I traced the wrong famiy for 12 months..............and although they are not mine what is in it is 100% accurate.

And my third tree is where I have gone further back with one of the three options as to which "Mark" is my right gret x4 grandfather.

I have found a few connections between my husbands tree and mine...............way way way back we have distant cousins who married each other.

Re: Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

Did we? :O..............Punch I look for so many people I try not to let them in my head............or they wont get out.

When I first started doign family history I used to have this reoccurring dream...............where all the headstones in the world were kept behind my shed..............and I would go out the back and get them out one by one....(they were in a huge never ending line).......and look at them.............and if they were wrong I would put them at the back of the line and get the next one.

lol, yes, we did.

I recognised your surname the first time we emailed each other. Someone in your hubbies family was married to my MIL's aunty.

Re: Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

He would be a cousin to your hubbies dad then? Does that sound right?

The matron of honour mentioned in that article is my husbands grandmother.
