Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

I had a quick search without looking too deep, I didn't find it.

It might've been in a little local paper that is not on Trove? I could ask her next time I see her

I like that story clair, I live in a high bushfire area, but also a potato farming area. My fire plan has always been to head for the spud fields.

Not having any luck on BDM. The child should be noted on the parents death certificates though, maybe you could get one of those. Or have you tried finding death notices for the parents on Trove, she might be mentioned on them.

Yeah I might have to order the parents death certificate. I've searched Trove and come up with nothing there's also two cemeteries I'm waiting to hear back from if a child of that name is buried in either of them

Well the problem is I can't find the death record for the mother either even though I know through my 2nd cousin in Perth the date and area she died. I also know where she is buried because I have rung the cemetery. punch is looking up Winifred but if you could assist finding the mothers death record so I don't lose anther $30 on a "result not found"

I have sent you a screenshot of her death from Vic BDM. Dont know why its not on Ancestry, I always thought they had a full list of all the available records.
