Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

I found a website for some people that search Irish record and emailed them a query months ago, I haven't heard back from them so I am assuming the have put me in the too hard basket :_|

Yes, that can happen too punchy... the Irish records only go back to early 1800s I think, so it can be a lost cause. 😞

Not sure how the Ancestry thing works with 1 new set of records being released each day but the previous records are still available FREE to view. I thought they'd only be available for 24 hours and a new set released. Been doing lots of research on the family tree and where members lived particularly through the Australian Electoral records and the Irish Griffiths's records. 🙂

For Sydney searchers, here's a link to Woronora Cemetery and Crematorium in Sutherland. Most of my family are here and they have an online search facility. Been able to get some death dates of family which has been helpful.

I am looking for the parents of Richard Barnes b.3 July 1892 Whitby, Yorkshire, England d.21 Dec 1979 Beechworth, Victoria, Australia. Married Dora Agnes Wilson.

I have all of his children and Doras parents but would love to find Richards Parents 😃

When you see the 1911 census, you'll know why it was so easy to work out.

I sent the earlier census's because I noticed that his parents hadn't been married long enough for her to be his mum, so I went back a couple to find the first wife.
