Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

Births marriages deaths.......probate.......census from 1841 to 1911....immigration .......criminal registers.

If you google I am sure you will find a list of records available....and what different packages Ancestry offers that fits the countries of your search.

There are many free sites that can start you on your way.

Family search is free and very good for you to search.

Freebmd and Freereg are free sites that are good for UK research.

After tonight I will be free for any searches.

Thanks flashie.  In my research I've traced back my tree to the ancestors who arrived in Australia but were born in the UK.  Thier birth years range from 1810-1840 so before civil registration.

I've been 'fleshing' out the ancestors that settled in Australia by finding thier wills and newspaper articles on line.  I've found out that my maternal grandfather was a very naughty boy when he was younger (he died in 1980 so I can ask him about it)
