Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

I am trawling google but no joy - hoping one day someone else posts something on Ancestry,

Rosie the info on death certificate would be provided at time of death by family or friend etc not official so names can be what they were known as not what name given at birth. Eg my Nana was officialy margaret but was called peg or peggy on many official papers. Have you tried googling her name? see if any other trees come up. I presume you have or have got flashie to try ancestry?

Have googled all variations of the names I can think of. I am a member of Ancestry and no luck there either.

I cannot get detailed information on his mother's birth certificate yet as its not quite 100 years since her birth.

Per chance are the witnesses on the marriage cert her brother or sister? I have been lucky enough to have that happen a couple of times to help with searches. Sometimes if you can get a brother or sisters name you can get a bit more info and come at them from a different angle. Good luck

Still no baby news....we are going for the 41 weeks check tomorrow....hopefully they will have an exit plan for her.

I just got all excited then............I was tracing a relative and found them in 1841.....it said Buckingham Palace.....I thought you beauty................then I looked again............and it said Buckingham Place.:_|

I am being norti. I am paying by the month for Ancestry.com but not using it. Ah well

Do you have to give notice to cancel it Prim......if you are not using it you may as well just get credits as the interest takes you.

That is the way I should have done it Flashie. I am keen but very time poor. I have moments to spare but not an hour at a time and that is what it takes to do real research.

I will see what happens by the end of this month. My own fault so I am not whinging about it but it is an awful waste.
