Are kudos a form of bullying?

I don't look at them either but I was looking at my page trying to find a thread I was posting on and the thread was gone. Then I noticed my kudos score.  I just don't get why they are kept.  

The people on the answer centre used to get upset with the helpful/unhelpful score.  Same deal.  It's really good that people can agree that this is the correct helpful information but why make a competition out of it? 

It turned the answer centre into a ball game at one stage.  

Anyway, it's a different kettle of fish on CS but it's still an I agree with you type of thing.

I quite like the kudos feature. It saves me from having to type that I agree with or like a post.

I don't usually take any notice of who has what kudos but someone back there mentioned they looked at LL's kudos and i have to say wow, that must just about be the kudos record for CS

No myth, I dont like them, I can deal with a couple here or there but a whole thread of them drives me nuts. I wasnt real popular when I mentioned that on the boards a while ago, people were horrified that I didnt like them lol....then they started turning up after all my posts, that really was kinda funny

I use the kudos like the facebook like button, apart from the photo thread I dont see any other use for it. I guess it be considered bullying, but then everyone knows who does and doesnt like each other on here so nobody should really be surprised if the same people are kudoing each other all the time, especially if they sit on the same side of the political fence.

I usually have the kudos turned off and only turn it on for the photo threads so it really doesn't mean anything if other posters have it turned off too.

The kudos I have recieved from some on here are purely bullying & in fact insulting. 

My opinion so don't all get into an uproar.
