"Engineers design bicycle on AutoCAD software at the factory...."
OK, so I didn't watch the whole thing but if the opening scene is engineers using AutoCAD I'm a drafting genius. They looked like they were using old style drawing boards and tracks very similar to when I was a draftsperson....and it aint AutoCAD.

Didn't watch much of it then.
AutoCAD is 18 seconds into the video

True (this month I had to pay extra for going over my allotted GBs so I'm trying to watch the pennies).
It just amused me that the text said AutoCAD....but it opened with ye olde fashioned pen-in-hand manual drafting machines.

if you watch the video it shows how our 'modern' bicycles are made in apalling conditions by the poorest people (almost)
when they tell us 'we are moving our manufacturing off shore' they never show us to where or who is doing the work.
its sickening really, seeing these people working in terrible conditions because we wont do it but are happy to go buy our cheap bike.

Terrible working conditions and no safety precautions either.
No protection from machinery for slow hands.

If that factory was operating in Aust,
I would have shut it down.
There is so many OH&S violations it would not be allowed to operate.
Like the Japanese safety boots they are wearing.
Or the respiration mask, and on it goes.
These days most people buy according to price, for various reasons.
When this happens, local manufactures can't compete, lose sales and ultimately shut shop.
In the last 3 years I have known of two boat sail makers that stopped making sails.
Now they just measure, send the plans off overseas and made there.
They no longer have rent, wages, insurance etc.
Oh, I watched all of the video.

i should have said 'because we wont work in those conditions for a pitence a week'
but we shouldnt be taking advantage of them either.

I don't think this company has anything to do with it
high end brand names get companies such as these to build their bikes for them now coz it's cheaper....
