I can bump this thead twice a day,so its easy to find.
Give it a go---Richo.

Helen, large grandson is 19 and quite tall.

Small grandson is 9 and quite small ( for now)      pat.gif

Grandaughters are the oldest,   handbag smiley.gif

but I would rank them as middlle sized probably     widely-grinning-smiley-emoticon.gif

It suddenly became a hive of activity here.     Daughter and both large and small grandsons turned up.   So now my lawns are done (and the edges!!)

I had some more Castlemaine slate hanging around, so I asked daughter

to put some on the floor of my little garden shed.   I noticed when it rained

that water was running through underneath.

So now all the tools are up on the slate, and out of the water.

Sandy, of course the Council would say that.

I don't think you have to accept it though.  Lawyers are free for the first consult.

Just sayin'

Yes and they will knock you over to get their teeth into a compo case - No win No pay often as well.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-sheilas welcome.

Freddie, you have to be careful of ambulance-chasing lawyers.

When they say no win- no fee, that's not entirely true.  If you read the small print,

they still charge you for little things like photocopying and phone calls, and

sometimes that can add up to quite a bit of money.

The 'no win, no fee' usually applies to court appearance fees

So you have to really, really read their fine print to see what your costs are

actually gunna be.

But I really think the Council is responsible if it was their footpath that caused it.

They should pay,  and I'd argue it with them.

I certainly wouldn't be saying "Oh, Okey Dokey then"

But if Sandy's not up for it,  then I understand.   No-one likes an argument

when they're not well.

But then,  they count on that don't they?

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-sheilas welcome.

Sandy Have you spoken to a lawyer re this matter? The first consultation is aways free, as it is with most legal matters. They will indicate to you whether they believe you have a case or not. The larger ones dont charge you a cent, cause they  (usually ) wont take on a case, if they dont think they can win it. The best one I know are Firths but am not sure if they only take on NSW cases, worth a ph call to ask them.  If they cant help you they may recommend a law firm in Vic who deal in cases such as yours.

Gorgeous flower Stawka, is a Zygo cactus?  Good idea re using the slate for the floor. great the family pitched in n helped you re the lawns etc.

Great re the rain JV, sounds like you really need it up your way   .. Hope you have a good night

Helen any word re Ooak? all very strange n worrying atm

Hope everyone else had a good day

Bushie, you made me go looking for what that cactus is called.

Apparently it's an epiphyllum cactus and it looks like it's supposed to be in a

hanging basket.

Sandy I would consult a lawyer, the Council have a responsibility to keep footpaths safe.

Bushie we have a small community garden here, sometimes I pop a tomato in a front garden just for fun, but we grow chillies, lettuce, snow peas. tomatoes, sweet basil, parsley, dwarf beans and silver beet, and whatever else folk want.

Think O am moving to Stawka;s house, good food there, haha

Hope Ooaks is ok.

Linda there is a lovely pocket garden in Hamilton, folk are invited to come and pick what they like, in the peak growing months, there is a monthly fresh produce swap group, it's great for swapping your surplus produce
