Geez Richo, the fires out your way are way out of control now.
Four fires have merged into one creating a wall of fire that's expanding on all sides.
Homes have already been lost, and they're telling people it's too late to leave.
Princes Highway has been closed since yesterday. It sounds really scarey.
Any wonder you're havng trouble breathing.
edit: no chocolate in the house......at all.....maybe cook some chocolate cake?

They're saying those fires could burn for weeks.
Any rain would be good right now.

Latest satellite pics show the fires at Dargo
Cloud sweeping across VIC with a weak cold front and trough is causing the odd shower and storm. Bright cloud ahead of the trough is a dry thunderstorm formed from bushfire smoke near Dargo. Skies are clearer elsehwhere with a dry airmass.

Very sad, especially when home are lost 😞
Just stuck my head out the back door, supposed to be 25 out there, fells much hotter to me now the afternoon sun has come out
Am guessing not too many people in the city bottle their own produce? Other wise surely there would be 2nd hand jars avail for a reasonable price? I assume they get far more stuff donated to them in the big cities, so I guess space is at a premium unlike the ones here.

Hit the nail on the head.
City folk don't do preserves.
They chuck their jars in the recycle bin.
We can only eat so much that comes in jars, that's why I had to buy some this year.
And sauce bottles? Had to buy a few of them as well.
Even had to buy preserve covers on ebay. Supermarkets looked at me weird.
Still 35 here.
