Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Gawd - it's freezing.

Doona finally went into it's cover last weekend - plus one fur - now cosy.

Fur lined duds now the go - and a gift of 5 Katmandoo merino ' spencers ' with thumb holes - amid other layers. ๐Ÿคฃ

Have I mentioned before - I hate Winter - only 11 weeks to go.

Stawks - how's the - Great Wall ' - fixed. ??

Having trouble finding anything to watch - any ideas - anyone. ??

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

So far, I am not really feeling the cold, it is refreshing.

What i dislike though is how early it gets dark now.

I do some child minding for the grandkids, (different ones) Mon-Wed and whereas I used to drive in daylight, it is dark now on Monday (I leave home about 6.20am, get home by 6pm usually)

So I am on the countdown to 21 June as after that, the days start to get longer again. It's a mind game really though because cloudy and rainy weather makes it seem dark for months.

It's rainy conditions on the roads I hate, more than the actual winter temps.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Ccccccoldโ€ฆ I donโ€™t like it, but I do love winter itself. The act of curling up in front of the heaterโ€ฆ of draping my cashmere merino blend stole around me and looking lovingly a the gorgeous peacock colour of itโ€ฆ of sipping hot chocolateโ€ฆ of the crisp clear night with a cold moon riding in the huntโ€ฆ It appeals.

domino, Iโ€™ve zipped through Taskmaster (Australian one just finished - itโ€™s ok โ€“ and UK one still running - wonderful madness). I canโ€™t think of anything in thriller or crime territory worth watching now. Admittedly Iโ€™ve not looked hard.

Countess - it's been a while so purchased the original 2 series of The Bletchley Circle on DVD as it's not being streamed anywhere.

Will have a warm binge with DD on Sunday.

Still looking for something else.

Will take a peek at TM.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Thoroughly enjoyed Task Master.    Looking forward to the next series.

Dom, I recommend Dept. Q on Netflix - haven't quite finished watching it yet but really enjoying it.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Dom, finished watching Q Dept.   An edge of the seat finish.

Based on a series of 10 books by the writer.  Sure hope there's more.

Another recommendation for you is The Residence - also on Netflix.

A very amusing who-dunnit.    Spot the Aussie game.

Also want more of this one.

The writer has written more. but Netflix has yet to pick up on it - maybe waiting for ratings.

Enjoy.

PS,  a bluddy freezing 13 deg here in Melbourne.
