Allison Baden Clay Murder 2 years ago
I was reading up on this today, as the trial started Monday.
The senior Baden Clay was on the stand today and gave evidence about something his wife told him about his daughter in law..................................I thought they usually objected and called that heresay?
Don't they do that in Australia? have I watched too many American crime shows?

Yes, he did.
I would like to be there to hear it as well. It is good they have extended the room(s) available to accommodate the large numbers of the public attending.
It was sad to hear the way the Defence portrayed Allison. She was a high achiever before she was married, it was probably hard for her to be stuck at home looking after 3 small children, compared to what she was used to. Especially with a husband more concerned about appearances, no empathy for illness and leading a double life ( habitual liar to carry that off ).

Given today's address I predict a guilty verdict.

Yes, it was not nice at all. He/they tried to make out she was a fat, lazy, useless human with no confidence who drove him into the arms of others because she was so pathetic. I bet he loved her to be stuck at home without transport so she couldn't play up behind his back and could not catch him cheating on her.

I do too.
He is a liar, he said so himself, so how could anyone believe a word that came out of his mouth.
