Allison Baden Clay Murder 2 years ago
I was reading up on this today, as the trial started Monday.
The senior Baden Clay was on the stand today and gave evidence about something his wife told him about his daughter in law..................................I thought they usually objected and called that heresay?
Don't they do that in Australia? have I watched too many American crime shows?

So just to be three in a row I believe it was part of the prosecutions strategy to ferociously oppose bail knowing that it
would work in their favour to back up what is primarily a case of circumstantial evidence.
By holding GBC for an extended period sans allowing bail meant that for the public a "where there is smoke there is fire"
mentality developed with most deciding he was guilty before he had his day in court.... otherwise why would he be locked
up???

He is locked up because the circumstantial evidence strongly supported murder, plus for reason unknown to us he was a suspected flight risk.
I believe the evidence presented at his trial supports murder.

I think his behaviour after her disappearance and the circumstantial evidence is the reason he was denied bail..........and the flight risk.
I doubt anyone has fabricated evidence, if they did, they did a very poor job of it.

A reminder of why some of us are concerned about the long deliberations, (for those who have not seen this photo of this beautiful woman)
So, if she was not "beautiful" it would not be so bad that she got killed?

Jury has reached a verdict.

That always bothers me when people refer to a murdered or accidental death, as beautiful etc.............. but in this case I suspect they mean "beautiful person" not looks, as such? people who knew her say she was a wonderful person.

That is exactly what I meant. Beautiful inside, and not deserving the treatment given to her during her marriage, and apparently later.
