I think the thing with boring people is, you really dont notice that their boring til close to the end because of the bigger personalities in the house. Now that its almost empty, we realise how boring some of them (Ed and Jade) are. I would have swapped Jade for Heidi!

Heidi was my first pick to win lol

Whatever people may think of Tim personally, there's no doubt that he has been the most entertaining contestant by far and on that basis alone, would make a very deserving winner.
The prizes these days, such as they are, are rubbish, too. When the show was being run by Channel 10 a few years ago, most of the evicted contestants received a brand new vehicle for their troubles, which helped make their up-to-3-month voluntary incarceration worthwhile.
All they get now is a pat on the back , a 5 minute interview with Sonia, then out the door they go, never to return. Anybody else (professional actors, for instance) would be paid for their time at the going APRA rate, which would be worth tens of thousands to them over 3 months, but as game show contestants, they essentially receive absolutely nothing for propping up Channel 9's ratings for the last 3 months.
Now that Ed's gone, it's interesting to see that Jade has become about as interesting as a hibernating stick insect, and I have but one piece of advice for Ed... Run as far and as fast as you can! 🙂

They do get paid for being in the house. I remember reading somewhere where an ex housemate was saying that they go about $500 a week during the time they were in the house. Once evicted they also get flown from city to city doing appearances etc with accomodation etc provided. I figure that they would get some money for doing that as well considering that whilst committed to doing that sort of stuff they are unable to return to their normal work activities.
I would also imagine that they are paid for their Ambi Pur TV commercials that air each time the show is on.
Tonight I would like Tahan and Boog to be evicted, leaving Jade, Tim and Drew in the house. Tim to win, Drew in second place.
I guess it's just a waiting game now.

I'd rather like to see the contract they all sign before entering the house, as I don't doubt they'd be paid for doing all the spot commercials which seem to be far more prolific this year than in previous years, but I'm convinced that whatever pittance they're being paid to put their lives on hold for up to 3 months wouldn't even cover lost wages for most of them.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Bert & Patti Newton received more for their one appearance on the show than all the housemates put together did.
I'd like to see Boog go tonight as well, if only so that I can turn my TV's volume back up again! Can you imagine being married to somebody with a voice like that?
I'm expecting Jade to go tonight, given that since Ed's departure, she's done nothing but mope around and bring the rest of the house down to her level of misery (not to mention mine!). 🙂
BTW, I agree with your prediction... Tim to win, with Drew as runner-up, although Tahan could be a bit of a dark horse, given all the publicity and support she's been receiving from the V8 Supercar Racing crowd, right down to "Save Tahan" stickers on her BF's helmet and car.

On the subject of Tahan's BF ..is he punching above his weight or what?
In the looks department she could do so much better. Still, he must have
something going for him. Or else, personality-wise they are saving two
other people from misery.
Tim's earned it so -
Tim to win. Drew runner-up

Yes, they did, even if they were evicted after only a few weeks in the house. As well as a new car I think they also received a free overseas holiday 'courtesy of Kumuka Travel' or something like that.
I guess Ch 9 don't have the funds that Ch 10 did.
