I have to take some photos off my wife's phone - she hasn't got any cables and can't buy them anymore.
She has Bluetooth on her phone - I have set the phone's bluetooth to activation ON and Visibility ON.
I bought a USB / Bluetooth dongle for my PC.
I am running Windows98.
I have put the dongle into one of my USB ports - the comuter recognises it.
I have done a scan on the phone - it says no devices found.
There's obviously something I have to do on the PC - but .... Where do I go from here????
TIA

Thanks for that. Did it. PC finds phone OK. But when I try to accept file on PC and send file on phone - it comes up transferring ....
and the percentage thingy ...... and eventually falls on it's face ... transfer terminated because conection lost.... tried it several times and the same thing happens.
Also, tried to transfer the photos from her phone to my phone - similar thing happens. Why, I hear you ask? Well my phone has a cable and if I can get the photos off her phone onto mine then I can retransfer them to PC via cable.
Once they recognise each other, shouldn't I be able to see the phone through ordinary explore - like another drive? Or is that something totally different?

Ok. I got the laptop, iPad and iPhone all connected via Bluetooth. How do I now share stuff using it?
Use wifi instead ๐
Set up a network and let all the devices share over it.

What type of phone is it? or what type of cable connection on the phone?
Does it take a mini SD memory card by any chance?
If the phone uses wifi you could upload them to google drive then download them to computer.
