Boat arrivals

Have any unauthorized boats carrying people with the intent to seek asylum in Australia arrived in the past few weeks?

Soooo, someone ran away and hid in Sept 2013 and they're still hiding?

or is it someone else who's hiding?

Who is it?

Where are they hiding?

Why are they hiding?

Shouldn't there be a national manhunt out looking for someone who has been hiding for so long?

So many questions.....

only if he's got a tattoo

that's what they're doing in Qld....

Update on the figures:  people transiting Indonesia to access criminal people traffickers 1600 to 250. Still no boats for a month.

This equals very good news for people waiting in putrid camps, no drownings and detention centres closing.

This means more help for the people, we could even start to increase our aid budget.

Now I can't see why anybody could possibly have a problem with that unless they are heartless barrackers for the thousands who perished on criminal people smugglers boats.

Re: Boat arrivals

Gee soal, what part don't you understand?

Tony abbott (he's Australia's current prime minister) ran away from reporters to avoid answering questions.

Hiding the truth from the public is not in the interests of a robust democracy.

Robust means strong.

Re: Boat arrivals

Yes that's right. Correct. Good.

And iza's post was demonstrating how our "leaders" (I use that term loosely) are not telling the public the whole truth about boat arrivals. They're running away from reporters and refusing to answer questions. Only the gullible would believe a PM like that.

the run rabbit was an example of Mr Abbott hiding and him valuing the lives of Asylum seekers (caring was mentioned by Silverfaun) ....

also a display of his accountabilty as our PM

To be able to answer your opening post we will need to know if there has been tow backs and push backs and from where during that period of time it is claimed we had no arrivals .

We need to consider what the UNHCR is saying

your OP asks

Have any unauthorized boats carrying people with the intent to seek asylum in Australia arrived in the past few weeks?

we need to know more ......

Re: Boat arrivals

why?

they didn't arrive.

The answer is, that no unauthorized boats carrying people with the intent to seek asylum have arrived in Australia in the last 4 weeks.

It's that simple.

That's all I asked.

Re: Boat arrivals

If you knew that, why did you ask?

I don't think they counted the two that arrived on other coastal areas?
