Boycott Bali

If the horrific murder of two Australians is carried out then we should boycott Bali and all things Indonesian.

We gave over a $billion dollars to this country after the tsunami, we prop then up with foreign aid and they spit in our faces.

They have  ignored all diplomatic attempts to mitigate their sentences and Watta a Joko has now signed the order to send them to the "killing Island" wouldn't want to kill them on Bali now would they, might upset the tourism business.

I'm appalled and disgusted, scared and frightened for these men and heartsick for their families.

Most posters are not doing that though, perhaps a private message to them is in order.

Re: Boycott Bali

Really I think what we have here is two heads of Two very different Countries

looking out for the interests of their people

how can President Widodo show clemency to foreigners when he executes his own peole for drug trafficing

what is that saying to the people of Indonesia

Tony Abbott has become involved because of general concensus

Not opposition to the death of two drug smugglers

But opposition to the death penalty

At least Tony is trying an honest hands on approach to tackling some very serious issues confronting this country

and is even man enough to admits when he makes a mistake which is a rare event in politics

Boycotting Bali is not the answer to this Problem

Let's try BOYCOTTING DRUGS instead

this is the funniest post on this entire thread!!! Smiley LOL

Abbott had no right to 'handle' this situation the way he did.
Once again  his lack of tact has put Australians in a bad light.

he is now even accused of being the reason these two poor benighted Australians will be executed.  Being accused that it's his fault if they are executed. How funny do you find that?

They are executed for being ring leaders, and drug smugglers of over 8kg's of heroin. Blame them!

Abbott certainly didn't do anyone any favours by opening his mouth. He is socially inept!

as much as disagree with it the death penalty for drug trafficking is the law of the land - i blame 2 people for what is going to happen to these men and that is themselves.

you have twisted the other poster's words - they said he has ensured the execution will go ahead, not that he is to blame for it in the first place.

Yes those are the words used. The PM has ensured that the execution will go ahead. If you want to defend that type of slur feel free but you will be called out on it just like the other post was.

Hope you don't find that funny.

The PM certainly lacks the ability to stop it.....lol.

Rubbish, you mean he didn't bend over for a murderer? don't you.

You know the one, Watta Joko, the poor excuse for a human being who ran on a ticket of state sanctioned murder.

I am proud of the way the government has handled this very serious situation and Indonessia need to know that we will not sit idly by while they shoot defenceless prisoners, no country would or has.

These guys were never gonna be let off. Indonesia would never back down. I suspect they have dragged it on just show that they are the ones in control of this situation and they enjoy watching some of Australia get upset about it

I suspect you're right but we can't let the appalling comments that Abbott will bring  death down on these two men when he and his govt are doing everything in their power to prevent that.

It's leftist hate and has no place in this thread.

They have "no power" to prevent it....... all he could do is ask....... threats certainly wouldn't work..... intelligent people would have

 known that.

There was no threat, none whatsover, and indo agreed that there was no threat.

I know it's all very comfortable to regurgitate the left media and labor lies but that is not the truth.

Too bad if they got a little bit offended, just how offensive do they think it is to shoot 2 defenceless prisoners?

And yes, Australia is offended, appalled and heartsick at the spectacle of Indonesia dragging these two men backwards and forward for publicity sake. Flying fighter jets all around the place.

What do they think these 2 defencelss men are going to do FGS.

The only hate I see is from posts like yours. Cheap political potshots when this is the most serious subject and heartbreaking situation. But never mind that, just take a few more cheap shots.
