Petrol station has changed my 100 octane petrol to 98 and now I dont know where to get my petrol from, I've tried google but its not helping.

I was wondering if anyone in Sydney would know who sells it.

It’s frequently useful advice that if a substance isn’t known to be harmful, it’s worth trying out. Acetone, though, is a solvent. It will corrode the rubber gaskets and washers in a vehicle’s fuel delivery system, and if the system includes rubber or plastic tubing, will also attack their components as well. Mixed with gasoline in the quantities suggested, acetone’s destructive effect on engine components will be slow-acting, but the potential for serious engine damage is very real. And it is a component of paint stripper ... don't spill it on your paintwork

Also ethyl can corrode some vehicle components in some vehicles too.

I was advised not to use it but use the highest grade petrol because it is kind to your engine re carbon buildup.

Cuts down on services.

Because I drive a 2 seater convertible I notice the additional kilometres I get from the highest grade too.

I use it every day and it costs me $20 pw in fuel.   Eat your hearts out you petrol heads.

Re: Bugger my local

You're all putting wierd chemical "booster" products in your fuel to get better performance?

Why not just buy a more powerful car? Oh, yes, I suppose you'd just add booster stuff to the fuel of that as well. Just forget I posted here. 😉

Reminds me of teenage P platers who have traded in a camel for a car.

I bet you'd put "booster" in a Bugatti Veyron.
