84 off the stick for a 74 nett,(which still puts me 6 shots behind),
Another bad start 6 over after 6,(the same as last week),

I just came across this golfing story and i immediately thought of you Lurker
OMG check out the size of that thing

Holy Dooly! That could put you off your putt!
There is a course down the coast from here which has a plastic crocodile head floating around in a green side pond. That gets people going when they first see it.
I've seen lots of snakes on the course over the years, I nearly stepped on one once. The people I was playing with said they had never seen anyone jump so high or run so fast LOL
I've also seen someone inadvertently park their golf cart on a snakes tail and get the fright of their life when they leaned over to see what was making the banging noise

at the plastic head
but snakes yikes!!

We get a few snakes here in Summer as well and looking for a ball in the rough is always done with a 4 iron in
hand,
I had an even worse third round,91 off the stick and then an 85 on Sunday which was still good enough to get
runner up in the scratch,(13 shots behind the winner),
My last 3 nine holes scores have been,21 points on the red for a win,19 points on the blue for a win and I had 21
points on the red today,(35 off the stick and my handicap should be 1 for the nine holes now),

Scratch runner up! Good on you!
We had our Open here last weekend. We do something we think is pretty unique and play all division 1 players off our long course (rated 78 slope 148), div 2 off the medium/regular one (rated 74 slope 133) and div 3 off the short 68/126 course. It's only the second year we have tried this and hopefully it will grown and attract more and more players.
My round is not worth mentioning. About middle of the pack yet again.
Off to play medal tomorrow *sigh*

Thanks,
Not much good golf to write about as it's been pretty ordinary,(76 nett,-5 in a 4ball and 16,15 points for nine
holes and 18 today in a 4ball),

That to me looks like a good concept and it might encourage more shorter hitting players to enter,(back marks
can be daunting if you don't hit a long ball,so I would struggle as our top rating is 126 and I would only get one
extra shot on a 148 rated course).

I haven't been playing much lately with the weather and our men's 3day tournament being on. Had a stinker of a game on Wednesday. But looking on the bright side, I got a shot back for next weeks Ace of Clubs at Merimbula
We go there tomorrow, play Sun, Mon, Tue, Thu & Fri. It's a big week but usually really good. Although the weather looks pretty shirtty again.

I won today with 41 points,(78 of the stick) on the Lakes,(but it should've been better),
Coming to the 9th I was one under and after putting it 60 metres out after two shots I managed to double bogey it
for no points,

We're a funny lot us golfers. 41 is a great score but we're still not happy That's what makes it so frustrating I suppose.
We played a 2 person ambrose today. We were travelling along nicely then threw in a couple of 3 and 4(!) putts to blow ourselves out of the water.
Single s'fd for the next two days. Crossed fingers it's still not raining.
