We are all so relieved he had a loving and peaceful death. And he got his wish - not to linger too long. My sister (an oncology nurse) was brilliant, as was the nurse on duty. My sister got him morphine when he was restless and struggling within 5 mins of asking for it. My sister and I also chanted softly at times and the sound of our whispered voices helped dad relax.

My daughter stayed overnight and is now helping me clean the house because the RE rang and they want to do an inspection soon. *sigh*

I've developed a nervous eye twitch ... :^O But other than that I'm okay. Take each hour as it comes. And chant lots!

My deepest condolences Ms Mioux. I am glad ur Dad passed so beautifully and peacefully. I feel sure in my heart that his heart was filled with pride as he passed. To be surrounded by his wonderful family and a daughter who is such and inspiration to so many.

Your nervous eye twitch made me remember that I developed that too. I got really worried that I had a brain tumor because it got that bad.
Then one of the girls at work who was going through some stress announced she had the same thing and I was all like, thank God, it's not just me. 😛
My eye used to go off all day, every day and I was sure everyone could see it, but noone ever did.
Weird that it's happening to you to in your time of stress.

I'm glad my eye twitch is 'normal'. It feels weird but I'll ignore it. It better not be a brain tumour! :^O

I've taken today off work. My boss has been very understanding. Today my sisters and I are getting together to read the poems our dad wrote. For a blokey bloke he wrote some lovely words. Tomorrow we are getting together with dads brothers and partner to organise the funeral.

There was an email sent 14th from Mr Ex. It was the lamest apology I've ever read. I felt nothing when I read it and I know if he was really sincere I'd feel it in my gut. Pfttttt. NO REPLY NO CONTACT.
